Loves to disassemble music to the atomic level, and pick out the parts he enjoys (or hates) the most. Passionate about a good groove. Just as likely to be found nerding out to complex rhythms, screaming along to pop punk, or contemplating clever lyrics and gentle acoustic melodies while sipping a whisky with a dog snoozing in his lap.

When not thinking about music, his head is probably in the clouds -- either pondering physics, hiking up a mountain, or wondering where his next batch of coffee beans is coming from.

Hi! I'm Jonathan and there's little which excites me as much as an inimitable vocal performance or a set of cleverly written lyrics.

I love pop for its majesty, inherent theatricality and emphasis on theme. I love R&B for its vocal arrangements and use of sampling to tell multi-layered (can you say intermusical like intertextual?) stories.

I also love reading, swimming and all things horror, though I doubt any of those will come up as much.
